To our valued patients at Dublin Woods Family Dentistry: Great News! We are carefully initiating the practice of dentistry in a safe and responsible way. We have been seeing patients during our regular business hours while keeping the scheduled times extended to minimize the number of people present in the building at one time. We will follow the guidelines of the state, federal, and American Dental Association in this process. The following protocols have been put into place to minimize risk for both you and our staff members. Please read the following information prior to your appointment.
Staff is equipped with proper PPE. Both N95 and level 3 surgical masks, face shields, and gowns or lab jackets are given to staff members to wear during surgical procedures.
Our waiting room is optional. This is to ensure patients are properly social distancing and avoiding unnecessary contact while waiting for their appointment. Please do not come more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. Please call us from your car and we will let you know if we are ready to bring you directly into the treatment room. If you are comfortable waiting in the waiting room please make sure you are wearing your mask.
At the current COVID-19 infection level, it is optional for patients to wear a mask when entering the facility. If worn, once the staff member is ready to start you may take it off.
We are limiting the use of procedures that require aerosol production. When there is a need for this we utilize high evacuation suction systems to eliminate as much of the aerosols produced as possible.
Each room has a HEPA air filtration system. These machines attack pollutants at a molecular level to neutralize viruses, bacteria, chemical vapors, odors and gases in the air without producing harmful ozone. It captures 99.97% of airborne pollutants as small as 0.3 microns. We have also installed a higher level air filter into our buildings air system. These filters are changed frequently.
Any paperwork that needs to be filled out should be done at home and brought in by the patient to minimize time spent in the office.
These protocols are placed in addition to our typical universal precautions we have always followed ie. extensive hand washing, heat sterilization of all instruments, medical grade cleaning products, the use of gloves and more. We are constantly adjusting and correcting these protocols in order to stay up to date with the latest standards of care during this scary time. If you have any further questions or concerns feel free to call us at any time to discuss.
We are excited to be back and can't wait to see all of our patients, we have missed you! Visit our Blog for more information regarding Covid-19 and Dentistry
